Any Guides Available On How Convert A 60 Biscayne Sedan Into A Convertible Using A Donor Car?

04 Dec

I have a rusted out 60 impala convertible and a 60 biscayne sedan. I want to make the sedan a convertible but I don’t how to begin to do this. Are any guides available that detail a conversion like this?

It all depends if the Biscayne is a 2dr. or not. If it’s a 2 dr. it would be the coolest. Restored of course!

Don’t try it. you’ll NEVER finish the job, and even if you do, it will look like s*** cause you’re not a professional.
A convertible has a stronger frame because of the missing roof, which gives the the body added strength on a hardtop.
    Forget this idea.

I agree with Paul. You`ll just have 2 messed up cars, only for a custom fabrication shop…with plenty of experiance.

The sedan is NOT going to be a convertible easily. It will cost upwards of $15,000-$20,000 just to make it the convertible, not counting the restoration of the car itself. Honestly it would be cheaper to restore the Impala due to its high value amongsnt car collectors. The Biscayane is undesirable due to the 4 doors, and its not a TRUE impala.
