Can anyone help me as to who would buy my wrecked car?

My daughter wrecked my car (frontend damage) while heading back to college this Labor Day weekend. Unfortuately I changed the policy from full coverage to PL/PD due to the high costs of young license drivers. It’s more than likely that it’ll be totaled or the costs w/outweigh having it fixed. Does anyone know who i can contact (preferribly so. california) i.e. junk yard to purchase the car? Thx for your response
It’s a ‘01 Daewoo Leganza, not to popular and no longer being made. Thanks for your answers and help. I did check around the with the salvage yards and most of them don’t want it or will pay $200 for it. I did come across some adds to where you can donate your wrecked vehicles to charities and be able to take it as a tax deduction. I think that may be the best route.

Me and my boyfriend live together in an apartment. We have a one-year-old son and no car. He makes about 8 and hour, 40 hours a week. I have started donation blood as often as I can to make an income because we can’t afford daycare. We want a care that is cheap and can get us where we need to go without too much work put into it. We are going to be getting $900 for the payment on the car or perhaps a down payment, but our rent is high and the food stamps aren’t enough. Is there any way to get a decent car with this kind of money?
Why is everyone being so mean? A simple no would’ve worked. I can take care of my kid just fine, we just have never bought a car before so I don’t know how it works. We have great credit and we kind of got put into this situation by someone else and we are suing them right now. We have done nothing wrong and are very happy. We just need it to go places we can’t walk and my insurance is cheap. Please stop being so rude. I thought this site was supposed to be helpful.

I donated my car to the VOA and they sent me a receipt with a dollar amount less than $500. Is this a deduction from my wages, or a credit to my taxes?

When I filed electronically, I entered all the info (vehicle type, milage, VOA appraised value, etc.) but it did not show up as a credit.

I have had bronchitis for the last two years and these last couple of months it has been very bad. My stomach was really sore and my back hurt so bad. My dad gave me two hydrocodone’s for a cough suppressant but I never took them.

In Feb I got pulled over and the cops found them in my car, he took me to jail and spend 3 days in jail. When I saw the judge he ordered me to go 4 months of narcotics classes. I want to go but got laid off my work about a month ago.

Is there anything I do like community service or anything at all? I have never been in trouble with the law before and do not really know what to do. Maybe instead of the classes I can go to narcotics anonymous where I can give a donation of a couple bucks instead of paying the high price classes?

I live in Southern California and am 24 years old.
I do not have a PO or anything like that. What would most likely happen if I contact the court/judge and explain to them my situation?

This is a long post but I really need help here.Thank you so much for reading. Heres the story:

I spent all yesterday driving across the state helping my boyfriend get a mattress for his room. I literally spent all day helping with this and even donated my car and my money when he forgot to cash his check in the bank. So then later on, he goes out to dinner with the family of one of his students (he’s a violin instructor). He’s over there until 12am, but he was only supposed to be gone an hour. I was at his house for a long time and then left. I drove all the way home, which is a 25 minute drive. It’s getting late and no call from him, and I remembered he has a student early tomorrow, so its unlike him not to call. I get very worried and drive all the way back to his house. I talk to his dad who also gets worried. I am very tired at this point, so we sit there and just wait. A half hour later, the boyfriend comes home.

We are Christians and are trying to be good as far as not having sex before marriage, but it has been an ongoing problem where he pressures me into letting him rub up against me until he goes (with clothes on). When he pressures me and I say no, he’s made me feel really bad about it. Anyway, when he finally gets home he does this with me and I don’t resist because I’m afraid he will be angry at me. Afterwards I am completely exhausted. It is late and I’ve spent all day moving his mattress across the state and waiting up worried for him. I ask if I can sleep over and he gets so upset that he starts yelling at me. He is ashamed that we did the wrong thing and he said that sleeping over is just not right. He says he just wants his sleeping space angrily, but HE is the one who forces sexual stuff, not me.

Long story short he is mad for a long time and I drive home, the 25 minute drive when I’m ready to just sleep. Today I have been crying all day. I know it is not right to do sexual stuff before marriage but it was HIS idea and I felt pressured. I just wanted to sleep over because I worked all day for this guy and then waited up all night. He got so mad towards me and I feel like crap. Please tell me what I should do and how I should handle this – whether I should be feeling upset or not.

How can I make some money by the end of the month? Any fresh ideas?

Thank you for reading my question! I’m 29 years old and I’ve been unemployed for a month (I was doing seasonal/temp work that suddenly stopped), and no one seems to want to hire me! I’m a very hard worker, so I don’t know what gives. It’s very frustrating. I might be getting a call-back next week, but my water will be cut off at the end of this month if I don’t pay it, so I need to make some cash.

Does anyone have some fresh ideas on how to (legally) make some money, or for some shoestring budget businesses I could start? I’ve been doing research, but haven’t found one that looks like it would work.

I only have $20 to my name, so it’s got to be mega-shoestring. I don’t have anything to pawn either, and I don’t have a car.

So, besides surveys, ebay, craigslist, yard sales, flea markets, dog sitting, baby sitting, blood donations, or anything illegal, does anyone have any good ideas?
I don’t have a friend network, and everyone I know is broke. I support my lazy mother and my barely part-time worker sister. Not much help there.

I sold a car and let the person I sold the car to use my license plates to get it home,which was about fifty miles away by the way I live in Colorado. The guy I sold the car to donated it to a homeless charity. W ell he forgot to take my plates off the car and now i just got a $50 parking ticket from stockton california . Am I responsible for this ticket ? what would happen if I don’t pay it . I have no intentions of going to California anytime soon .

About zakat and its explaination?

As we all know that Ramadan is once again not so far now, and it would be the time for every Muslim to donate zakat to the charities or the people in need.

Please correct me if I am wrong here and would be great if you could support your answers by quoting resources.

Qustions 1:
As of explaination for zakat, it is paid on the assets possessed by you for a complete lunar year. The assets have to be volatile? like cash, gold, silver, diamonds? it does not include the house you own? or the car you own? however, you can still sell your house or car whenever you want and convert them into cash.

Question 2:
If I have for example £2000 worth of assets now but £500 of which I got only last month, but I knew I would get this amount. Do I have to pay zakat on £2000 or it would be only £1500?
Just like if you have a constant source of income paid every month. Do you need to pay zakat on all 12 monthly income amounts you got this year (these dont complete one lunar year)? or only the monthly income which you have held for 1 complete lunar year?

Question 3:
There is a threshold for zakat called “Nisab” (Nisab is some value related to current rate of gold in the market) and every muslim having wealth over this threshold must pay zakat. But the amount of zakat is based upon the amount which is in excess of this threshold?
for example, Nisab as of today is around £1000 so if you got £1500 worth of assets, you only pay zakat on the excess £500? or you have to pay zakat on the total £1500?

yea your first answer clicks a bit but its really hard to determine whether a certain asset is used for business or personal purpose. But if you mean that zakat is obligatory on a house given out for rent (business purpose) then in fact house is earning you money periodically which again means that if zakat is obligatory on this house then its also obligatory on your monthly wages e.g. from a job.

I`d prefer giving zakat in Ramadan, I have been told that any good deed you do in Ramadan earns you far better reward than if the same good deed was done in other days.

I bought a 1997 olds cutlass from a private owner a month ago. I was told that he owned it for the past three years and he had no problems with it. He told me that he just got back from an out of state trip with the vehicle and that he would take it anywhere without worry about it. The vehicle had a 30 day tag on it, which should have caused me concern, but he explained that he got it as an extra conveniece for the buyer because he knew he was selling it. He even had the title notarized already. When he gave me the title, it was folded up and I didn’t think to look at it much. After about a week of driving, the vehicle started over heating. I looked at the title shortly after and found out that he actually bought vehicle 4 days before I bought it from him. He got it from a car lot that sells vehicles that people donate for tax deductions! Since then, I have had to replace the water pump and thermostat and am now riding the bus because the vehicle has a blown head gasket. My mechanic told me that it looks like someone had put in a radiator and head gasket sealant to make it run for a short while. By the time this repair is done, I will have spent more in repairs in the month I’ve owned it than I did to purchase it. Is there any sense to suing for damages? I will have spent about $2000 after this is done and I paid $1800 for the vehicle.
I live in ohio and there are lemon laws but they are very vague. The vehicle title is printed the same day you apply in about 20 minutes at the title bureau. It really doesn’t seem like I have much to stand on here without verifiable evidence. Maybe I should just call the local news station? They always need a good buyer beware story. I’m sure this isn’t the first time this man has done this and I bet it won’t be his last.

Ok here’s the deal, I have a very big heart with a very big attitute to go with it. I’m 37 yrs old and I live in a neighborhood with one of those “Association” well yesterday was our meeting. we have around 18 people in our neighborhood and our “President” who is the busy body, started the meeting by informing me that my name was not on the deed (which it is but either the county or he made a mistake which we need to fix) anyways he starts the meeting by saying I no longer have a vote. Understand that I have lived in this neighborhood before anyone else. So now the meeting continues and he turns around and starts dogging one of my neighbors because they’ve been having hardships and havent’ paid dues. I suggest that we take up donations. The man almost died and was in the hospital for over 2 mths. But as this jerk always does he completely dismissed my suggestion not allowing it to go to vote and basically told this family that they had 30 days to crawl and beg for a two week extension and the rest of my so called neighbors voted and agreed. Oh my god there are so many things to say. Like for instance most people who own property here don’t live here they just have horses so they send in a proxy and he is the only one who has it. So no matter who votes he always has majority of the votes. I am so sick of this guy that the vengeful side is coming out. Just the fact that he completely humiliated my neighbor has me screaming inside. And the whole thing that these drones down here go along with what ever he says. For instance he’s trying to say the garbage man drives 35 miles an hour down the road. I can’t even get my car up to 35 because of all the sharp turns. He admitted that before 8am one morning he was standing inside my property at least 30-35 feet and almost got hit by a flying rock by the truck. NO I never gave him permission to be on my property. I am the only person who has trash service however I allow everyone to use my containers.

Someone please tell me how to handle this guy. This has been 7 years. The only reason he’s president is because no one else wants to be and he’s a busy body with no life except to get into everyone elses life. I need help because I want to do something horrible to him. I do conteplate doing something deadly but I never would. I was thinking about sending out a letter to all the members who didn’t show up but gave him their proxy and let them know what he did during the meeting and how their vote cost one of our neighbors their dignity.

What can I do?? It’s been over 24 hours my husband is tired of me complaining but I can not get what this man has done. Or all the other stuff he has done including sexually assulting me when I was the sec/treas. I resigned because he is such a perv. What’s really bad is 3 of my neighbors are very well to do and these 3 have all now been put on the board and it’s not that their rich it’s the fact that since they’ve moved in they’ve all been gossips and look down on the few who don’t have as much and I hate people like that. This use to be such a wonderful place to live. Neighbors helping Neighbors now it’s become a horrible place to live if your a little different. For instance I’m 37 my husband is 54. So I’m some how a gold digger. Even thou I’m the one who came with the gold and we’ve been together since I was 22 years old and will be together for life.

Someone with COMMON SENSE please tell me how to live with this. Should I write the letter to the other members letting them know what their vote cost others in hopes they will give their vote to someone else. Oh one woman down here who isn’t white and is the only one who isn’t white is being blackmailed into paying a 20.00 fee each month to have her easement mowed. NOBODY else but here is paying this money but last year the pres sent out a letter telling everyone they had to pay if they wanted it mowed. Her english isn’t that good and I believe she’s only paying because she thinks she has too. I want to stop things like this from happening. That 20.00 didn’t go to mowing her property it went strait into the prez pocket…

My partner and I are planning an event. We have already booked two hotels and a club to have a white chocolate and Nuvo party. We booked the local YMCA to host a basketball tournament and we’ve gotten the local Nissan Dealership to donate a car for the grandprise (since they havent done their part in charity this year)–but they gave us some crap about the NAACP not allowing basketball tournaments… since we still have the YMCA booked, what other type of events can we do? PLEASE HELP!!!

I am a 22 yr. old that cares for two small children. I am on a very tight budget. I finally saved enough for a cheap vehicle, which has fell apart in less than a month. It was an as is sale, I should’ve taken someone with me, but no one I know is mechanically inclined and Ididn’tt have money to pay a real mechanic.Any-whoo, I am writing to find out if there are any places that donate vehicles or accept small payments. I have tried craigslist but itdidn’tt work. I don’t have a problem riding the bus, I just would prefer not to have these babies on the bus. I am in Michigan. I am disturbed that there are so many people in this country without transportation, whole families, and Cash for Clunkers is destroying not just large, gas guzzling vehicles but family vehicles like mini-vans with small 6-cylinders in them to sell more cars. I am disturbed by the total waste that is happening here, and now they are asking for more MONEY? How about donating the more viable, more efficient cars to agencies that can distribute them to needy families who could use them to get to work, school, etc. instead of pouring sand in the crankcases and selling them for scrap? Any thoughts?
Well Duh: It has been proven that MOST of the cars here in Orlando-area did not meet the criteria for the program but were accepted anyway. I imagine that dealers everywhere relaxed their standards to make the deals happen. In theory it was just an okay idea… How do you like it NOW?

Junk certificates in California?

If I have the regular title to a junk, how do I convert it into a junk certificate if I wanted to scrap it because the scrap yards are telling me the car must have a junk certificate to be accepted? Do I have to pay any fees? Does registration (tags) have to be brought up to date or anything like that? What exactly are people paying for? The Word Of God? I thought the Word was free? Sending bibles to other countries is understandable. Feeding the hungry is understandable. Seeing pastors drive around in fancy cars, living in overtly luxurious houses, flying in corporate jets?

What is this? Is this really God? I don’t think there is anything wrong with living nice, but I can’t help but wonder why a good majority of organized Christian religions are intent on fleecing the flock of Jesus. Giving tithes, offerings and donations is one thing, taking advantage of people is quite another. ( o _ 0 ) It’s wrong and it’s evil!

i know this women,she has 3 kids age 3,6,and 10 .
i met her,and she asked me to babysit her kids,in exchange she will babysit my only child age 22 months for free
so i will babysit 3 for free,and she will babysit my only child.
i babysat her 3 kids one time,and she babysat my child yesterday for the first time,when we came back me and my husband,her kids were sleeping on the floor,i told her why did nt you put your kids in my daughters room where there is a big bed that will fit 3 people. she said that they fall a sleep on the floor so she did nt want to bother them.when she wanted to wake them up.i picked up her sleeping 3 year old ,while she was waking up the 2 others,once outside when i put her daughter in the car sit,my husband wanted to give her $10.
i said no,i babysat 3 of her kids for free,and i gave them my daughters food,because they eat a lot,they were not easy and one of them does nt listen to me.i babysat her 3 kids from 4 to midnight,she babysat my daughter from 8 to 11:30.
i gave them food they drank all my water.and that s fine,because i do it for ALLAH.
MY HUSBAND INSISTED TO GIVE HER THE MONEY,and i felt stupid ,so we started arguing.

Ok the thing is that about a year ago I bought a vehicle and at the time I only had a permit. Due to certain circumstances, it took me a while to get a license, so I had to donate the vehicle to my father so I could get insurance and drive it. He is the one on the titled however I was the one who purchased and currently use the car.

My question is, can I still sell the vehicle although his name is on the title?

Also, the person who wants to look at my vehicle will be coming from another city. I went to the LA DMV website and they say IF I sell my car I need to take the license plate off BEFORE canceling the insurance. If this guys does buy my car, then how is he going to drive home w/o any license plates since i have to turn them in?

I am just trying to make sure I do this alright as I have never sold a vehicle. I know I will need the titled and bill of sale but are there any other documents and is it mandatory that they be notarized?

I have no credit but i have a cosigner will i get approved?

I am 18 haven’t established credit yet. I make about 500 dollars a month, but i get paid in cash. also i donate plasma and make about 250 from that a month. I am getting a car for $8,500 i need the loan for that preferably a 48 month lease. I have a cosigner with excellent credit. Think I can get the loan?
