I am thinking about trading my 1995 Cadillac Deville Concours in for a new car. I will only do this if I can get the $4500 cash for clunker deal. The stick on my car shoes 16 MPG in the City and 25 MPG on the highway. The average I figure it out as in 16.5MPG. Would my car qualify as a clunker? I need your help.

Park ave.I know its old and all but this shouldnt happen.Anybody have any ideas if legal action is an option or should I just be glad I didnt crash and donate the car to my fire dept.to blow up !!!???

My mechanic said the engine is totally shot and would cost over $2500 to replace. The Blue Book value for is listed at about $1100 – less than 1/2 of what it would cost to fix.
I’m planning on getting a new car, so the question is how do I get the most value for the Saturn – trade in a car that will barely start and clack-clack-clacks, sell it for scrap to a local recycling plant, donate it to one of those charity organizations, or some other option? How can I get the most value for my car?

I have a 1995 Chevy Lumina LS 3.1L v6 but I don’t see that anywhere on the list to receive a rebate. It gets about 15-19 mpg (19 if I’m lucky) since it has a problem in the fuel system (that’s an educated guess) but no mechanic I’ve had look at it can locate the problem (it’s been at least 4 mechanics now) and I’ve had this problem for probably 2 years. I’ll drive the car but when I turn it off, it won’t start without stalling out for at least an hour. This is very inconvenient considering that I have to plan my day to go somewhere for at least an hour when it could be a 2 min trip to the store so I’ll be stuck waiting. Driving this car is hell and it would be impossible to sell for money for a different car. Am I eligible since my car is broken but still runs?
