For example i dont have TV can i go to charity organisation and get it there? How i find such places and what kind of goods can they give me, for example if i need car can i get it in charity too?
I speak about small local charity orgs, not the one who collect money for starving children of africa etc and yes they do give you goods because people just throw this stuff away it cost them nothing to pick it up and give to someone u better learn subject better before answering.

Donating My Car (to a Veterans Charity) what to expect?

I’m moving out of state for school and i won’t be needing a car so i decided to donate it to The National Veterans Service Fund Vehicle Donation Program.
They are scheduled to pick up the car on thursday.
I already know that i have to surrender my plates (i’ll do that tomorrow) to the MVC
and i know that i have to give the car title to the tow company:
1. Do i have to sign over the title or leave it blank?
2. Am i supposed to get any paperwork from the charity as proof that the car was donated?
I read that they send you info once the car has been sold.
3. Is there anything else i should know/expect during this process?

If it’s not in good condition it won’t count as a tax deduction . I thought charities like Goodwill and Salvation Army used to say they put people to work fixing your old chair or whatever , when soliciting for donations . Not that I would donate trash- but does this mean an article in “reasonably” good condition will not be accepted ?

We are in deep financial trouble, due to illness and unemployment. We may lose our home, over about $200 . I have tried several online donation sites, but so far no luck. We have gone to local agencies, and did get help with utility bills. Many are just out of funds. Anyone have any ideas? We have never been in such a struggle.

I am the Secretary of my school’s Student Council. Every year, we have a charity drive. This year, we have selected a charity called Camp Heartland, allowing children with HIV/AIDS and a sibling to go to summer camp. This is one of the only opportunities these children have to be with people who understand their pain. They feel they do not have to hide their illnesses. At Camp Heartland, they can be free.
Does anyone know of businesses that would be willing to donate money or even match our donation? If so, please pass along contact information. Thank you so much!
How to start a charity foundation?

Hey, I am in the process of starting small fundraising coupon book. It will have buy one get one free coupons and will sell for ten dollars. I would like to take, say 30%, of each book sold and start a foundation that would give this money at the end of the year to several students for college. Obviously I am gonna contact an attorney but I thought i would see what some of you thought. I will be making money through this book but want to start my own foundation in which i give some of my profits to needy students. I want this to be a legal charity as well but I guess it wouldn’t be considered non-profit since I would indeed be profiting from the sales of the book. The book and charity would be two different companies though.
Currently, the book is sold and 30% of the profits go to a local charity like United Way but we want to start our own charity and give money to students who demonstrate need and want to succeed in business. Thanks for any help – Gene
