Since there is so much concern over Reverand Wright, shouldn’t we treat “religion” like we should treat “charity” at home. And look into our own backyards, before we condemn others for what they believe or practice. No one else but religous people and certain party affiliations have condemned no other people than these groups. So why can’t we tell people who drive “Gas Guzzlers”, they are going to hell?

Arctic To Equator Drive Challenge?

I am planning on a 2 month long road trip from the Arctic circle to the Equator (Alaska to Ecuador) in a 2000 Toyota Camry. I am sure the road trip in the Northern Hemisphere would be a breeze. Is it safe to drive in Central America and Columbia and Ecuador? Has someone done this before? I would like to involve a charity where I can donate my car at the end of the trip in Ecuador. Does somebody know of a charity that would be interested? Would there be a problem with customs when driving a US registered car? Am I crazy?
why do people expect richer people to drive crap cars?

im not rich my self but if i had alot of money i would buy nice things to. but sometimes i see questions were people actually expect a millionare to drive a crappy car. if you have good money why should you have to deal with a beat up car, that wouldnt make sense. some people also say you should just give your money away to charity instead of buying yourself something nice which i dont really agree with
what do you think?
also im 16 so i dont really know if ill be rich but i hope so =]

Went into the local home decorating store, upon entering the store trying to get my shopping done, there was a sales person walking the store trying to get you to make an appointment to come out to your house to sell you a new air conditioning unit. I then went into the drug store next door CAR WAS GET YOUR FREE CAR WASH….you go into the store and upon checking out there is 3 containers on the check stand wanting you do donate, if thats not enough the checker asks you if you want to donate a dollar to what ever it is this week they are taking donations for….leaving the store I was asked if I would like to subscribe to the local newspaper…..gee crap already….nickel and dime the hell out of you….xmas is my favorite one. Sad part about most of them I don’t trust them the money never makes it to where it is suppose to go. I am going to have “T” shirts printed up “Don’t ask me for any money! PERIOD!”

Heres the story of an idiot and car…
I needed to buy a car asap and for cheap. Through a friend I found a 92 probe (130,000 miles) and bought it for 650 after a friend of mine (who i THOUGHT knew about cars said it wasn’t a bad deal)
Within days of driving it I find that it needs a new fuel filter (fix about 400-450) and it needs 4 new tires. That is all i KNOW that is wrong with it. Right now it sits in my apartment parking lot needing that work plus an oil change. I am very broke right now and won’t have the money to fix it for awhile.
Should I
a. try to sell it for ANY amount as is
b. fix it, its a good car in the end and worth it
c. donate it and learn my lesson
d. some other option I don’t know about
If your answer is get rid of it can you offer any advice on someone with little money and NO car knowledge buying a used car (even a good place to look for one).

Acura has a CSX which is similar to the civic but it is not available in the us. I would like to know why. That car would be a great cross between luxury and economy for me.

why do people think i’m either spoiled or a bad person or evil to people just because i have money to spend. i hate this character assassination bulls.h.i.t. i give big donations and i help out people i try to help community. yet just because i have money people label me as a spoiled evil person. some people think if they see me on the street and if i talk to them i’ll think i’m better than them and i did have that happen. why are people so cold hearted labeling people without knowing them just because they have a couple of extra bucks to spend?

My old car has a long thin crack in the windshield and i was wondering will i get pulled over for that? I’m close to buying a new car and i’m going to donate my old car so i really dont’ want to spend hundreds on a new window that i won’t use for long unless its illegal.

Such as a U.S. Attorney, or Inspector General? If so, why would ethics come into play if they are buying it for personal indulgence with money they earned?
(I am not talking about using money from funds raised from a campaign or monetary donations and gifts from a private source)
