Do any of you who call opponents of the health care bill heartless, have more heart than me?
I’m a disabled vet whose job was to disable roadside bombs in Iraq. I was good at my job, but that didn’t make me immune to fear. I didn’t want to be there, and I didn’t like being away from my family, but I stayed anyway. As good as I was my vehicle still got hit. All it takes is to miss one. I came back disabled, but not beat. I still have a job, and am about to start college. I donate 15% of every pay check to charity. I go every week to an inner city church and pray, hug, and feed the homeless. I plan to become a teacher in social studies. Now I don’t see anywhere in my life where I cared about evil greedy rich people or was selfish in any way, but maybe I’m wrong. Maybe your right for calling me un American, radical, or crazy. Maybe I have no legitimate reasons for believing the things I do. Maybe it’s just because of all the stereotypes and label you throw at me. Maybe I don’t really read or research what I believe. I don’t know, what do you think?
Your right, I do have the option to get free health care at the VA, but after two visits I decided to get private insurance.
Kevin, with respect, your making a straw man argument. No one is saying we should do nothing. I just don’t like this particular bill.
Ryan – I am simply addressing the flaw in the argument that says I’m heartless for not supporting THIS reform.
mediocre, lol, I type fast
I’m not for the status quo, and kevins is a straw man argument. This is not a medeocra bill. It’s a radical change in our system. I not waiting for perfection. They could try individual changes instead of a bill that does this much at once.

The Purple Heart organization keeps 1/3 of donations. How much does the PVA keep?
Just saw on the news the $$$’s and entertainment expenses kept of a few of the Purple Heart foundation. Does the Paralyzed Veterans Assoc. keep that much?
What is the name of the song (I believe it’s by Blue Oyster Cult) about the woman needing a heart transplant?
I thought the name was something like “Goodbye Love.” The man is visiting her in the hospital. He leaves and gets into a car crash, and they use his heart for the surgery. I remember the refrain, “We have a donor…Prep him! Prep him!
I just finished watching Seven Pounds and thought of this song. I won’t be able to sleep until I figure this one out.
An Arab needed a heart transplant, but prior to the surgery the doctors?
needed to store his blood type in case the need arises.
Because the gentleman had a rare type of blood, it couldn ‘t be found locally. So the call went out to a number of countries. Finally, a Jew was located who had similar type of the blood who willingly donated his blood to the Arab. After the surgery, the Arab sent the Jew a thank you card for giving his blood along with an expensive piece of diamond and a new Rolls Royce car as a token of his appreciation.Unfortunately, the Arab had to go through a corrective surgery once again. His doctors telephoned the Jew who was more than happy to donate his blood again. After the second surgery, the Arab sent the Jew a thank you card and a
jar of Almond Roca sweets. The Jew was shocked to see that the Arab thi time did not reciprocate much the Jew’s kind gesture as he has done previously. So he phoned the Arab and asked him why he had expressed his appreciation in not generous. The Arab replied Ya habibi, I have Jewish blood now
Should I fix my broken down car, donate it to Purple Heart or have it totaled/sell to a junk yard?
I have a 1998 Chevy Malibu with 130,000 miles on it. I bought it four years ago for $4,900. Since then I have replaced the tires and all brakes (brand new). The engine has just expired and the car shop is saying that they will give me a used engine, 60,000 miles, with labor for $2,300. However, he also said that my transmission in on its last leg. So, should I get it fixed? If not, is it better to donate it or scrap it? PLZ HELP – I HAVE VERY LITTLE KNOWLEDGE WITH CARS!!

Donate With Purple Heart Car Donation Program – Donate Versicle’s And Help Your Neighborhood
The procedures for Yankee car donation are quite easy in reality. First you must have a car that you are willing to give. Second you must be prepared to give it. Ultimately there are some questions you need to ask before making an attempt to give the car.
Is the automobile, or truck in good condition? The last thing you want to do is give a decaying automobile to an organization the helps folks. They may be indignant if it falls apart mid trip. You also don’t need to give a vehicle if it wishes intensive maintenance, or repairs.
The following question to ask yourself is the second most critical. Who needs it more? This is a tough question but not the hardest. You would like your gift to go to where it will do the most good. There are numerous people that could employ a working automobile, or truck that could be sitting around just picking up dust.
Eventually the most important question. Who should I give it to? You’ve assembled your list of groups that need a vehicle from churches, to community outreach programs. But in the end you only have one vehicle, and you can only give it to one group regardless of how bad all of them need one.
Perhaps a family member might need your old auto.
However if your malevolent and absolutely need some sort of kickback, or reward then know that you can get one. There, is your greedy heart happy now?
O.K so you’ve gone through the entire organizations to donate a car, but you continue to need specifics on who needs it most. Try medical associations that fight rare diseases. Check local towns, outreach programs, anything you can think of that you hadn’t considered initially that may need a car.Leave no clue unexplored in your search.
If your real involved in the community though, there’s one choice that you’ve likely overlooked. Yes your own town, you can save your city some cash by giving your car to them for government workers to use on daily errands.
You can’t give to them all and if you try you will get a headache. Please make sure it’s in good condition first before you give. For the people out there that think one automobile will not help, trust me it will.

The options mentioned above are great for groups, and organizations, but what if you need to give it to people? Well students always need automobiles. Occasionally a neighbor in bad financial condition. Maybe a relation might need your old vehicle. If you know someone whose homeless, but trying to find work a car could be a life saver for them, literally.
Giving out of kindness, and not asking, or accepting recognition for the act can be good for prestige. There, is your greedy heart happy now?
okay so you’ve gone through the whole organization trial and listed all of the groups, but you still want specifics on who wants it most.
If your real concerned locally though, there’s one option that you’ve probably overlooked. It has been right in front of you this whole time, it’s your city.
Just remember, there are so many groups that might use a auto that it is not funny. You can’t donate to them all and if you try you will get a headache. Please confirm it’s in good condition first before you donate. For the people out there that think one auto will not help, trust me it will.

Help our Veterans and Make a Purple Heart Car Donation
The American public mistakenly believes that the federal government takes care of the men and women who have served their country in the armed forces. The federal government does do something, but not much, and often veterans of wars need extra help. There is an organization that is called Purple Heart car donation that has been dedicated to assisting veterans for more than 70 years.
A Purple Heart car donation is especially important in recent days as there are hundreds of war vets that are returning from fighting for the freedom of others and protecting America from terrorists, who need your help. There is not enough medical knowledge known about certain conditions of this new kind of war to treat those who have returned with traumatic brain injuries from the use of suicide bombs.
Purple Heart car donation can make research possible and help to affect changes in veterans hospitals and aid in providing those men and women who have fought for their country better medical care. With the recent reports of violations and horrendous conditions in many VA hospitals, this is more important than ever.
Those in charge of Purple Heart car donation are the Military Order of the Purple Heart. It is a charity that is chartered by Congress and is a nationwide organization that is made up of those who have been wounded in combat and received the medal of the Purple Heart.
Not only medical care and treatment is needed for those who have returned from active combat or are veterans of former wars. There are other programs and outreaches that target many of the special problems and needs that a veteran may have.
Your Purple Heart car donation will be a simple and easy process. You simply make a phone call, request a form or go online to fill it out, and Purple Heart car donation will do the rest. You present them with a clear title, and off your car goes, to help those who fought to keep your country safe so that your children can grow up in the land of the free.
