Who would be a better organ donor Christian or Atheist?

05 Jun

Christians of the fundamental literal faith believe in the bodily resurrection and an after-life.
Atheists don’t.
I would like to determine their position on this.
I have no interest in what happens to my body after I am dead.It wouldn’t concern me who benefits from my organs either.
Man,Woman,Believer,Atheist,Black,White,Heterosexual or Gay it makes no difference to me for I consider my life and body as a gift from whom I believe in.
I know that when I am buried the microbes, bacteria and worms will consume my remains however I’d rather my all of my organs were used to help people and it would be a complete selfish waste to leave what could be used to nature or worse still to be burnt in a crematoria.
Does one leave instructions for their cars, clothes and money to be burned..although it would be interesting…if people did do that with the material things they leave when they die.
Do Christians of the fundamental literal faith accept that nothing belongs to them and is a gift from their Lord and God and the denial of returning the gift to life works against God and does a disservice to humanity on a spirited and secular level.
Does it matter to the Christian more then the Atheists on organ donation..Your views please?
Tim:Are you stupid?Stupid is a stupid does nowgetyerselftaefuckyaroasterye.
Gus:Only the spirit moves on but at least we leave behind what can be better used…God some of you folks are sooooo thick and fickle.
Futile Crush:I’m not terribly naive.I terribl earnest. There are some people here in the UK who jealously refuse to donate and I am trying to establish if this is for a religious reason because I can’t understand why they do not because i think it should be compulsory unless you can leave them on ice to your family to use or the highest bidder. Is that naive?

With organ donation, how does the Motor Vehicle Dept know when you’ve passed? How are the organs donated?

I live in Pennsylvania and read where there is no requirement to inform family members so who contacts who on this issue?

Organ donors….what would you do?

22 Apr

16 year old dies in car accident, they had told you that they had a wish if anything ever happened to donate organs, your husband is 100% against any type of organ donation….your sons organs would save many people. What would you do?
but what if your child or wife was waiting for an organ to be donated……does that change your mind
Fonz, read Chad B response……if one of my kids needed a kidney….after death, its a body….not a soul

I would like to donate bone marrow but it seems like it is very complicated. I have been an organ donor all my

< i was thrown threw the windshield of a car when i was 16 and almost died. I didn't require blood transfusion thank god because that was still the time that aids was rampant in blood donation. But I would still like to help anybody that I can while I am alive. I have never been sick in my life.. I will be 50 in January,I haven't even had a cold in 4-5 years. I think I have some special immunity that I would like to pass on. I am not ready to be guinea pig but would like to give what I have to someone else.

a question about organ donation?

10 Apr

the parents of a gentleman who was killed in a car accident , were just issued a bill from the hospital for the donation of their sons organs. Is this legal? and are the parents responsible for the cost? if so how many people would donate if your loved ones will be charged for it after you die?

should i be an organ donor? today at the dmv.. =P?

01 Apr

so today i went to the dmv and when they were registering me for my learner’s permit, they asked if i wanted to be an organ donor. And i thought about spricket24’s video about her dad who was an organ donor…and she said this beautiful thing like she’s glad her father was a organ donor b.c he just recently died and she feels like parts of him are still alive doing good even now that his spirit is gone…

I told the lady “not right now” though because I’m having second thoughts. Of course if i die at the wheel, I’d want to donate my organs to save lives, I’m all for that. But I’m thinking of it like this: one day when i am older and I have kids; if i get into a car accident and I am on life support, I don’t want them to look at my card and say OH AN ORGAN DONOR! and then they pul the plug and suddenly my children are motherless…

ok I’m 16 and i don’t have to think of that right now, but I will make the decision when I go for my driver’s license in a year or so.

So, I need all your help people out there does anyone know anything about this? Will they kill me if I have that heart on my card for my organs? lol i know that sounds weird but I’m really thinking about this, no mean coments please.

Thanks so much =]

My dad is an organ donor???

27 Mar

ok so i just found out my dad is an organ donor, like i never really knew it. if he is an organ donor does that mean whenever he dies they are just going to take all of his organs, or what happens?? is this just if he died in like a car acccident? or say if he died from old age or somerthing will they still take his organs?? so basically is what i am asking is under what conditions will they take his organs

P.S. i am not against this or anything, it is great he is going to help other people! but i am just wondering, and i am probably just freaking myself out!

are you an organ donor or want to be?

25 Mar

i dont want to be.. mainly cause if i am in a car accident and theres a tiny chance of me surviving they aren’t going to try to save my life, they are going to just let me go peacefully. and honestly i came into this world with organs i want to go out of it without them.. idk. i’m going to do blood donations and stuff but i dont think i’m too keen on the organ doning thing.. i feel selfish about it but its me.
how bout you?

Is brain death the only stipulation for being an organ donor?

17 Mar

If you die in a car accident on impact, can they still use your tissues and/or organs?

I’m writing a persuasive speech on organ donation so please answer if you know! Thanks :)

Should I be an organ donor?

15 Mar

I’ve heard that if you’re an organ donor, should you be in a serious car accident, doctors are less inclined to keep you alive if your organs could be harvested.

On the other hand, if I were in a fatal car accident I would like my organs to be a help to others… however, only if I were already dead and there were no chance of my survival.

What should I do?

Organ donations–would Christians be turned away from the pearly gates.?

09 Mar

We were having a discussion last night. I was raised catholic, not longer practice, but know a few devout catholics. One woman I know lost a leg in a car accident. To put it bluntly , it is on ice at the hospital morgue and has been for 25 years. When she dies the leg is to be buried with her. She says because it is part of the body that god gave her and she is going to heaven with all those parts. I know another catholic woman that has saved all her placenta’s and umbilical cords from childbirth, honest they are in jars of famaldahide. Now , my question. If a catholic donates his eyes to science, will ‘god’ shun them at the pearly gates or will they be let in to walk around blind or eyeless in heaven for all eternity?

Would you become an organ and tissue donor?

01 Mar

July 4, 2005 My 14 y.o. son was struck and killed by a car. His death answered prayers for the families of 5 people awaiting life-saving organ transplant. If you or someone you love were to die suddenly, would you consider giving that same gift of life? Why or why not?
