Will anyone buy this besides a junk yard?

I have a 2001 oldsmobile alero with about 130K miles on it. About a month ago I found out I blew the head gasket and was told it could be fixed but that it would be pricey and eventually I would have to also replace the bottome of the engine and then whateva else was found wrong with the car. I was told it would be cheaper to find another used car but what should i do with this one.

Should I attempt to sell it and if so what would be a good price for it. The car also has a small dent on the front end and needs a new tire. If i decided to junk it, would i get money for it, or would i be better off donating it to purple heart or some place like that?

DO I HAVE TO PAY TAXES ON THiS MONEY?

Ok im going to be starting a business. What im going to be doing is getting customers exotic sports cars.Im not selling them im just getting it for them for a cheaper price. For example lets say you want a Maserati MC12 which is worth like $1.5Million(1,500.000) dollars. What ill do is i will find one and then negotitate with the dealer and bring the price down to like $1.4Million(1,400,000).So then what i do is ill mark the price upto lets just say ($1,450,000) that way i make my $50,000 dollars and my customer saves $50,000 dollars. So my question is that do i have to pay taxes on that $50,000 dollars i made? Its not a w-2 its just my customers will wire me my commission. And also what if i do alot of charity lets say that i donated like $30,000 in charity so does that mean if i owe the IRS like $100,000 i can subtract taht $30,000 and only have to owe $70,000 right? Also i will be buying foreclosure houses fixing them and then selling them i have to pay taxes on those profits also? Thanks.

I made 50k this year. My wife started for Aflac and has made roughly 3k. Should we file taxes together?

I made $50,000 this year. About $7,500 has been witheld from my check for FED… My wife started for Aflac very late in the year and has made roughly $3,000. We married in June. Working for Aflac is considered having your own business.. She works on commission and we have quite a few deductibles, well what i’m hoping we can use as deductibles. Like gas, work supplies, car maintenance, and donations…. We’ve been keeping some money from her pay for taxes but not so much.

Is there a certain amount of money to make before the government starts taking taxes?

Can you file jointly if the spouse has their own business?

If i have the option would it be better to file together or seperate?

Any advice would be great. I know i need an accountant, but would like to know alittle more about this, instead of walking blindly….

Any donations we can get for this family? Please help.?

On August 10th, 2009 my cousins were driving back home to Florida from a religious function, when they were involved in a tragic car accident; their van hit a tire on the road, which caused the vehicle, of which five children were involved. They all survived, but are in very critical condition. Their insurance company is giving them a hard time, and their vehicle was completely totaled. Is it possible that we can get any donations? We have been looking for places to donate a van (for 7 people) or maybe anybody who can give us a donation or anything that can help the family. This family can barley stand on their own, and are without transportation. Please contact 281.705.3289 if you would like to help or donate. Thanks.

What will happen next to car dealerships when the Cash for Clunkers program end this Monday?

Dealerships have been selling a lot of cars for the past month. Many people with old car in their driveway came in and trade for car with more fuel friendly. Car dealerships across the nation selling more cars than 2 months ago. GM, Chrysler and other manufactures say they will make more cars and more jobs to meet the demand for CARS program. My questions are What will happen next to car dealerships and manufactures when the Cash for Clunkers end? Will consumers buy cars and dealers sell more and manufactures make more cars?

Why didn’t this brave liberal get out of the car?

Cause he was a liberal coward.

http://www.ocregister.com/ocregister/homepage/abox/article_1307398.php

The car wash at Pacific Coast Highway and Warner Avenue was sponsored by the Marines, who wore their uniforms and held signs. Some people stopped just to hand out donations.

One driver, though, slowed down, rolled down his window and spat on one of the Marines, witnesses said. The driver has not been identified, but was described as being in his 30s.

After chastising the “cowardly act” at an Oct. 2 City Council meeting, Sullivan came close to tears several times during an impromptu speech.

“Everyone was universally enraged,” the mayor said after the meeting. “Even the people who are against the war.”

Why don’t you punk liberals stop the car, get out and try that stuff. Oh yeah, you cannot afford the dental work you would need.
kreevich, if it walks like a duck, et al. I can bet you a grand it sure the hell was not a conservative.

What do you think Of this? Reguarding Iraq?

I think It very likely!!Written by Raymond S. Kraft

This is HISTORY THAT HAS BEEN LEFT OUT OF OUR TEXTBOOKS. MANY OF YOU ARE
NOT OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THAT NEARLY EVERY FAMILY IN AMERICA WAS
GROSSLY AFFECTED BY WWII. MANY OF YOU DON’T REMEMBER THE RATIONING OF
MEAT, SHOES, GASOLINE, AND SUGAR. NO TIRES FOR OUR AUTOMOBILES, AND A
SPEED LIMIT OF 35 MILES AN HOUR ON THE ROAD. NOT TO MENTION, NO NEW
AUTOMOBILES. READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT HOW WE WOULD REACT TO BEING TAKEN
OVER BY FOREIGNERS.

Historical Significance:

Sixty-three years ago, Nazi Germany had overrun almost all of Europe and
hammered England to the verge of bankruptcy and defeat, and had sunk
more than four hundred British ships in their convoys between England
and America for food and war materials.

At that time the US was in an isolationist, pacifist mood, and most
Americans wanted nothing to do with the European or the Asian war.

Then along came Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and in outrage
Congress unanimously declared war on Japan , and the following day on
Germany , which had not yet attacked us. It was a dicey thing. We had
few allies.

France was not an ally, as the Vichy government of France quickly
aligned itself with its German occupiers. Germany was certainly not an
ally, as Hitler was intent on setting up a Thousand Year Reich in
Europe . Japan was not an ally, as it was well on its way to owning and
controlling all of Asia . Together, Japan and Germany had long-range
plans of invading Canada and Mexico , as launching pads to get into the
United States over our northern and southern borders, after they
finished gaining control of Asia and Europe . America ’s only allies then
were England , Ireland , Scotland , Canada , Australia , and Russia . That was
about it. All of Europe, from Norway to Italy , except Russia in the
East, was already under the Nazi heel.

America was certainly not prepared for war. America had drastically
downgraded most of its military forces after W.W.I and throughout the
depression, so that at the outbreak of WW2, army units were training
with broomsticks because they didn’t have guns, and cars with “tank”
painted on the doors because they didn’t have real tanks. And a huge
chunk of our navy had just been sunk or damaged at Pearl Harbor .

Britain had already gone bankrupt, saved only by the donation of $600
million in gold bullion in the Bank of England, that was actually the
property of Belgium , given by Belgium to England to carry on the war
when Belgium was overrun by Hitler (a little known fact). Actually,
Belgium surrendered on one day, because it was unable to oppose the
German invasion, and the Germans bombed Brussels into rubble the next
day just to prove they could. Britain had already been holding out for
two years in the face of staggering losses and the near decimation of
its air force in the Battle of Britain, and was saved from being overrun
by Germany only because Hitler made the mistake of thinking the Brits
were a relatively minor threat that could be dealt with later, and first
turning his attention to Russia , at a time when England was on the
vergeof collapse, in the late summer of 1940.

Ironically, Russia saved America ’s butt by putting up a desperate fight
for two years, until the US got geared up to begin hammering away at
Germany .

Russia lost something like 24 million people in the sieges of Stalingrad
and Moscow alone… 90% of them from cold and starvation, mostly
civilians, but also more than a 1,000,000 soldiers.

Had Russia surrendered, Hitler would have been able to focus his entire
war effort against the Brits, then America . And the Nazis could possibly
have won the war.

All of this is to illustrate that turning points in history are often
dicey things. And now, we find ourselves at another one of those key
moments in history.

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants
and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or
chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world.

The Jihadis, the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs –
they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam,
should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe , then the
world. And that all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be
killed, enslaved, or subjugated. They want to finish the Holocaust,
destroy Israel , and purge the world of Jews. This is their mantra.

There is also a civil war raging in the Middle East — for the most part
not a hot war, but a war of ideas. Islam is having its Inquisition and
its Reformation, but it is not known yet which will win — the
Inquisitors, or the Reformationists.

If the Inquisition wins, then the Wahhabis, the Jihadis, will control
the Middle East, the OPEC oil, and the US , European, and Asian
economies. The techno-industrial economies will be at the mercy of OPEC
– not an OPEC dominated by the educated, rational Saudis of today, but
an OPEC dominated by the Jihadis. You want gas in your car? You want
heating oil next winter? You want the dollar to be worth anything? You
better hope the Jihad, the Muslim Inquisition, loses, and the Islamic
Reformation wins.

If the Reformation movement wins, that is, the moderate Muslims who
believe that Islam can respect and tolerate other religions, and live in
peace with the rest of the world, and move out of the 10th century into
the 21st, then the troubles in the Middle East will eventually fade
away, and a moderate and prosperous Middle East will emerge.

We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the
Inquisition, i.e., the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the
Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it somewhere. And we can’t do
it everywhere at once. We have created a focal point for the battle at a
time and place of our choosing……..in Iraq .

Not in New York , not in London , or Paris or Berlin , but in Iraq , where
we are doing two important things.

(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly
involved in 9/11 or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively
supporting the terrorist movement for decades. Saddam is a terrorist.

Saddam is, or was, a weapon of mass destruction, who is responsible for
the deaths of probably more than a million Iraqis and two million
Iranians.

(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic
terrorism in Iraq . We have focused the battle. We are killing bad
people, and the ones we get there we won’t have to get here. We also
have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq , which will be
a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East , and an
outpost for a stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East
for as long as it is needed.

World War II, the war with the German and Japanese Nazis, really began
with a “whimper” in 1928. It did not begin with Pearl Harbor . It began
with the Japanese invasion of China . It was a war for fourteen years
before America joined it. It officially ended in 1945 — a 17 year war
– and was followed by another decade of US occupation in Germany and
Japan to get those countries reconstructed and running on their own
again … a 27 year war.

World War II cost the United States an amount equal to approximately a
full year’s GDP — adjusted for inflation, equal to about $12 trillion
dollars. W.W.II cost America more than 400,000 killed in action, and
nearly 100,000 still missing in action.

The Iraq war has, so far, cost the US about $160 billion, which is
roughly what 9/11 cost New York . It has also cost about 3,000 American
lives, which is roughly EQUAL TO the 3,000 lives that the Jihad snuffed
on 9/11. But the cost of not fighting and winning W.W.II would have been
unimaginably greater — a world dominated by German and Japanese Nazism.

This is not 60 minute TV shows, and 2 hour movies in which everything
comes out okay.

The real world is not like that. It is messy, uncertain, and sometimes
bloody and ugly. Always has been, and probably always will be.

The bottom line is that we will have to deal with Islamic terrorism
until we defeat it, whenever that is. It will not go away if we ignore
it.

If the US can create a reasonably democratic and stable Iraq , then we
have an ” England ” in the Middle East , a platform, from which we can work
to help modernize and moderate the Middle East . The history of the
world is the clash between the forces of relative civility and
civilization, and the barbarians clamoring at the gates. The Iraq war is
merely another battle in this ancient and never ending war. And now, for
the first time ever, the barbarians are about to get nuclear weapons.
Unless somebody prevents them.

We have four options:

1. We can defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons.

2. We can fight the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which
may be as early as next year, if Iran ’s progress on nuclear weapons is
what Iran claims it is)

3. We can surrender to the Jihad and accept its dominance in the Middle
East, now, in Europe in the next few years or decades, and ultimately in
America .

4. Or, we can stand down now, and pick up the fight later when the Jihad
is more widespread and better armed, perhaps after the Jihad has
dominated France and Germany and maybe most of the rest of Europe . It
will, of course, be more dangerous, more expensive, and much bloodier.

If you oppose this war, I hope you like the idea that your children, or
grandchildren, may live in an Islamic America under the Mullahs and the
Sharia, an America that resembles Iran today.

The history of the world is the history of civilizational clashes,
cultural clashes. All wars are about ideas, ideas about what society and
civilization should be like, and the most determined always win.

Those who are willing to be the most ruthless always win. The pacifists
always lose, because the anti-pacifists kill them.

Remember, perspective is every thing, and America ’s schools teach too
little history for perspective to be clear, especially in the young
American mind.

The Cold war lasted from about 1947 at least until the Berlin Wall came
down in 1989. Forty-two years. Europe spent the first half of the 19th
century fighting Napoleon, and from 1870 to 1945 fighting Germany

World War II began in 1928, lasted 17 years, plus a ten year occupation,
and the US still has troops in Germany and Japan . World War II resulted
in the death of more than 50 million people, maybe more than 100 million
people, depending on which estimates you accept.

The US has taken more than 3,000 killed in action in Iraq . The US took
more than 4,000 killed in action on the morning of June 6, 1944, the
first day of the Normandy Invasion to rid Europe of Nazi Imperialism.
In W.W.II the US averaged 2,000 KIA a week — for four years. Most of
the individual battles of W.W.II lost more Americans than the entire
Iraq war has done so far.

But the stakes are at least as high … A world dominated by
representative governments with civil rights, human rights, and personal
freedoms .. or a world dominated by a radical Islamic Wahhabi movement,
by the Jihad, under the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law).

It’s difficult to understand why the American left does not grasp this.
They favor human rights, civil rights, liberty and freedom, but
evidently not for Iraqis.

“Peace Activists” always seem to demonstrate here in America , where it’s
safe.

Why don’t we see Peace Activist demonstrating in Iran , Syria , Iraq ,
Sudan , North Korea , in the places that really need peace activism the
most?

The liberal mentality is supposed to favor human rights, civil rights,
democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc., but if the Jihad wins,
wherever the Jihad wins, it is the end of civil rights, human rights,
democracy, multiculturalism, diversity, etc.

Americans who oppose the liberation of Iraq are coming down on the side
of their own worst enemy.

Is this a prefect example why illegal should get NY drivers license & will the pro amnstey make a Donation?

BREWSTER — A Mt. Kisco man who was arrested by New York State Police this morning for allegedly speeding and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol is an illegal immigrant, police said.

State Troopers Robert Lombardi and Christopher Esposito pulled over the car of Jose M. Arias, 25, around 2:10 a.m. this morning for allegedly driving 100 mph on Interstate 684 in North Salem, which has a posted speed limit of 65 mph.

Police say that Arias was under the influence of both drugs and alcohol and is an illegal immigrant. While attempting to put Arias in custody, police say he became combative and struck both officers. While being handcuffed, police allege Arias bit Lombardi on the left hand and forearm, causing bleeding. Lobardi was later treated and released from Putnam Hospital Center for lacerations and abrasions from the bite.

Arias was eventually restrained and taken into custody. Police say he has been charged with felony assault in the second degree, felony assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, DWI and other charges. He will be arraigned in the town of North Salem.http://www.newstimes.com/news/updates.php?id=1186571721&source=news_updates
Republican State Rep. Russell Pearce said he was unaware of an e-mail sent by a supporter who used the shooting of Phoenix police Officer Nick Erfle to try to raise money for the lawmaker in a possible run for Congress.

Charlie Powell, an outspoken foe of illegal immigration, sent the e-mail last week to dozens of people.

“The City of Phoenix is a Sanctuary City for illegals and what thanks does it get?” the e-mail read, in part. “One of its policeman is killed by an illegal. One thing you can do to protect your family is to contribute money for the election of Russell Pearce who is the driving force to move the illegals out of our communities. The e-mail asks donors to send contributions to the same post office box Pearce lists on his exploratory committee’s Web site, www.pearce2008.com. Powell could not be reached for comment.

On Sunday, Pearce said that Powell, a longtime friend, should not have used Erfle’s death to make the point that illegal immigration is a problem that must be dealt with. Pearce said he found out about the e-mail from a Channel 3 (KTVK) reporter.

“Charlie Powell is a good patriot who thought he was doing something good about a bad policy,” said Pearce, referring to a Phoenix policy that prohibits officers from telling federal immigration officials about most encounters with undocumented immigrants involving minor offenses, though police detectives partner with federal immigration officers to investigate smuggling crimes, home invasions, gangs and other violent activity.

“It’s shameful that we would have policies that would harm and hurt police officers.”

Isn’t this harsh.. Please I need opinions ? ?

PLEASE READ THE WHOLE TEXT Please.. because I really want to know your guys opinion and how I should go around with her and these are only like the main facts.

Sorry in advance for the mistakes and for writing so wirr warr but it would have taken even longer if I would have written it all correctly, so I hope yo understand it.

A friend of mine told me about her life and I really don’t want ot talk about it, but that’s why I’m doing this anoym.
She grew up only with mom and grandma. So I assume her first years were ok then, her mother got arrested because her insurance stamp on the car wasn’t valid when she was 5. Her mom came out 2 days later and got community service. A year later they moved to florida then a year later back to the california ( the daughter got sent with a box to make money and was said to say she needs it for her school as a donation). Her mom got arrested again and this time because she never had done her community service because she forgot it as she moved to florida. The daughter came in a foster family, then her grandma kidnapped her from the foster family and then hid. After a while they found her and she came back in fostercare then her grandma kidnapped her again. And hey hid after a while they found the mom and arrested her (because they thought she kidnapped her) but the daughter and grandma hid. Then 2 years later they found the grandma and kid and took the kid to a childs home and arrested the grandma. Then a year later the family sent the kid to europe where the family is actually from and where there relative were. And Mom and grandma were still in jail after a year and a half the grandma came out because the mom took all charges on her although she didn’t kidnapp the kid. The grandma went to the country where the kid was and the mom went to prison for another 1 and half years (so she was in jail/prison for 3 years altogether) meanwhile the kid was by relatives as the grandma came they started making problems etc. so then they sent the kid to a childs home in the other country. Then a year later she finally got to live with her grandma and a couple month later her mom came. they lived normal for a while but the mother started drinking really badly and getting abusive etc. then they moved from apartment to apartment in that country. Then when she was 15 she and her mom started travelling all around europe and also slept in a car sometimes.. and with 16 moved to london and has a normal life (from what I know) and her mom stopped drinking and that was it ..

for example she already had her first boyfriend with 10 at her relatives then at 13 she feel in love and had a boyfriend until she was 15 and it broke her heart, so she started cutting her wrist.

But she didn’t have sex yet, hates to drink, doesn’t smoke etc. She herself seems to be a really good girl though and beautiful really beautiful as well, hard to believe after all she’s gone through….

And there still are a lots of details but if I tell every detail it’s to much to write and to much to think about as well.. because the details are even worse then the main facts.

can someone please explain this joke to me?

a Jewish businessman was in a great deal of trouble. His business was failing, he had put everything he had into the business, and he owed everybody. It was so bad he was even contemplating suicide. Seeking spiritual guidance, he went to a Rabbi and poured out his story of tears and woe.

When he had finished, the Rabbi said, “Here’s what I want you to do: Put a beach chair and your Torah in your car
and drive down to the beach. Take the beach chair and the Torah to the water’s edge, sit down in the beach chair, and
put the Torah in your lap. Open the Torah; the wind will rifle the pages, but finally the open Torah will come to
rest on a page. Look down at the page and read the first thing you see. That will be your answer. That will tell you what to do.”

A year later the businessman went back to the Rabbi and brought his wife and children with him. The man was in a
new custom-tailored suit, his wife in a mink coat, the children shining. The businessman pulled an envelope stuffed with money out of his pocket, and gave it to the Rabbi as a donation in thanks for his advice.

The Rabbi recognized the benefactor, and was curious. “You did as I suggested?” he asked.

“Absolutely,” replied the businessman.

“You went to the beach?”

“I did.”

“You sat in a beach chair with the Torah in your lap?”

“Yes, Rabbi.”

“You let the pages rifle until they stopped?”

“I did exactly as you said.”

“And what were the first words you saw?”

“Chapter 11.”

What to do with this junk car?

I have a 87 Skyhawk (true pos) that’s barely running on 3 cylinders. Should I take it to a junk yard or try to sell it for scrap? I’m not in a high enough tax bracket to donate and reap benifits that way. We’d like to get as much as possible for it, so we can use whatever we do get for the down payment on something else. I have no idea what to do, or where to start. Ideas, helpful info, anyone? If it helps, I’m in East TN. Thanks!
To RAY

I am certainly not UN-educated on buying and selling cars. Key word, CARS. You know, those things that run? Drive on roads? Go “VROOM!”? My question obviously is not relevant to buying or selling cars.
My question, is what to do with a pos that is taking up space, for a friend with no budget to buy a, you ready, here’s that “car” word again! He’s too busy getting a college education to deal with it. Perhaps that is what you need? Selling cars must be really rewarding, don’t get me wrong.
That’s very considerate of you to grace my question with your ridiculous answer. I will, graciously, decline your offer. Thanks!

IS THIS WHAT WE HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO?

As we begin 2010, the daily news reports tell us that the economy is on the mend and indicators are suggesting that the recession is ending. In many ways, things just seem better than at the beginning of 2009. The stock market has stabilized and rebounded. Reports tell us fewer people are losing their jobs. Other reports tell us that the economy is in the early stages of a recovery. U.S. manufacturing posts modest gains.

By now, we have adjusted our expectations for the future downward and reduced our spending. And the shock of the economic meltdown which we felt so keenly in January 2009 has diminished. But it is really smooth sailing ahead? Or time to batten down the hatches?

Fundamental trends are under way that could create the perfect storm for further economic disaster starting as early as 2011. Just like the weather cataclysm in the book and movie “The Perfect Storm” that wrecked the fishing boat and killed all on board, these trends threaten an economic downturn much worse than we have already suffered.

Four major trends crest in 2011 which threaten to drown chances of a real recovery. First, taxes. Additional tax increases are expected to go into effect in 2011 to support health care overhaul. And the Bush tax cuts will end at the start of 2011 under budget policies already adopted by the Obama administration. After these changes, the top income tax rate including state taxes would average 52% across America.

That top U.S. income tax rate would be higher than in France, Germany, Canada, and 23 other countries in the OECD. In 5 states dominated by Democrats–California, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, and Oregon–the total top tax rate will be higher than in socialist Sweden.
Moreover, the top capital gains tax rate would soar by 66%, from 15% today to over 25%. The individual income tax on corporate dividends would also increase substantially. These increases will stifle investment, entrepreneurship, small business start-ups, business expansion, new jobs, wage and income growth, and overall economic recovery.

The second factor affecting the economy in 2011 is rebound unemployment as stimulus spending declines. Whether or not the stimulus has been effective in preserving and creating jobs, even the Obama administration says that the effects of the stimulus spending will have peaked by mid-2010. Indeed, stimulus spending will likely produce a negative feedback effect on the economy by 2011. This is because every dollar in Keynesian stimulus spending takes an estimated $1.23 out of future GDP, according to many economists. Additional stimulus spending by Congress—like “Cash-for-Clunkers” may extend phantom job creation a bit longer, but would still produce negative effects as soon as it is spent out.

Once the stimulus money is used up, state and local governments that used the funds to plug holes in their general operating budgets will have to cut back jobs or raise taxes substantially. And since most jurisdictions used the money to support levels of spending that were too high to begin with–rather than to build additional infrastructure, all that spending will not have increased American productivity much. Yet, we will still be paying the bill for today’s stimulus spending in the future, with higher interest costs and a larger tax burden.

A similar effect will result from the Census Bureau hiring up to one million workers for the 2010 Census. Expect the unemployment rate to go up another 3 or 4 tenths of a percent when those same workers are laid off in 2011.

The third trend that will crest in 2011 is inflation—from a combination of our weak dollar policy and our huge deficits. The dollar’s decline reflects incredibly loose Fed monetary policy, as the Fed expanded the money supply while maintaining record low interest rates near zero. In addition, federal debt will exceed 100% of GDP by 2011, leaving us with the 7th highest government debt-to-GDP ratio in the world, in company with countries such as Zimbabwe, Jamaica, and Lebanon. That will produce further dollar declines, and further increasing inflation.

Lastly, if Congress passes any of the expensive legislation that it is contemplating, the resulting costs will be the fourth and final cause of the perfect storm. Cap-and-trade, health care, and pro-union legislation like “card check” would all result in huge expenditures and inefficiencies that the American people will be forced to bear–starting mostly in 2011. And in the case of cap-and-trade, energy production will be sharply constricted, and energy costs will rise–further contributing to inflation, while killing still more jobs and creating still more misery.

The perfect storm in 2011 may bring us double digit inflation, soaring interest rates, record unemployment and a worsening recession. Prepare yourselves.
