05 Jan

ok this is my third question on this subject…the first question i asked was how to do it and they told me to find a donor car so i assumed that a bronco ii would work because they are so close in size and so on but i found out that the bronco ii chassis is to short so waht vehicle would work the best to convert it into a 4wd? and i cant find any 4wd rangers (still running or not) around here so wat should i do? or should i just wait untill i can find a 4wd ranger…if you need more info to ansewer and help please message me r sumtin

Chassis length doesn’t make any difference. The distance on a Bronco II from the transfer case to the front axle would be the same as a ranger. It’s also the same as a ranger supercab. Every component from the transfer case forward is identical. If you can’t imagine what gets transferred over, and why, you’re probably not looking at it the right way.
Be that as it may, you must realize that the reason we’re telling you to use a 4×4 Ranger/Explorer/Bronco II is that’s what fits. The suspension geometry on these vehicles was the same. There’s also a Mazda version of the Ford Ranger and a Mazda Navaho version of the SUV, if you can find that.
So that’s all the vehicles that are made the same way.

Why not just wait until you find what you want. It would make more sense economically to buy a truck that you want rather than spending a bundle of money and time converting one.
