So long story short I totaled my car. I rearended somebody because I’m an idiot.
Anyway, the damage is mostly to the radiator, and possibly the front of the engine, but I would like to donate it like I did my last car. My dad took care of that one as far as organizing where it would go. I believe he sent it to the American Heart Association, or something along those lines. However that car was not wrecked, it was simply old and unsafe.
I guess my question is if anyone knew if an organization like that would take a wrecked car to part it out or something?

There are a number of places that accept cars, GoodWill, Cars4Causes, however I don’t think they will really be interested in ones that were totaled in an accident.
Probably the best place would be to sell it to a salvage yard.

Check and see if you have a local Volunteers of America. They run ads in my area stating they take you car running or not and you get the tax write off.

Polly Klaas foundation. you get an automatic $400 writeoff for the donation (for your taxes) and anything more you get a letter afterwards.

Donate it to a charity.
They can use the parts to fix up other cars.
Whatever you do, the junkyard is the worst option!

Check with your local high schools. some high schools have auto body/ repair shops for the kids to take as classes. they may take your car.
If not a highschool how bout a local tech. school
